Hamilton WINS at Germany. Alonso, second
The British Lewis Hamilton, McLaren, today won the Grand Prix Formula 1 Germany, followed by Spanish Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) and Australian Mark Webber (RedBull). It is Hamilton’s second victory this season. He also won the Grand Prix of China. With today, added his 16th victory in F1.
On Friday, Hamilton had said it was too slow to win at Germany. Today proved to have been wrong in its estimates. His victory makes him beating Alonso in the classification of the world, which is third with 134 points.
For its part, the Ferrari Spanish made a great career, but his car was always slower than the McLaren. Alonso came to beat Vettel in the circuit and Webber when they were in boxes, while the Australian could not with the rhythm of the Spanish or Hamilton at the end of the race.
German Sebastian Vettel, RedBull, became disillusioned with his compatriots with a fourth place to overcome in the final lap to the Brazilian Felipe Massa. This is the first time that Vettel is out of the podium this season after nine races. However, the German continued as sole leader with 216 points. Webber is second with 139, and Alonso lost third place to the benefit of Hamilton (134), that the Spanish adds 130.
